Global Finals 2014 is right around the corner and since many of you will be in Knoxville for nearly a week, planning ahead and constructing a detailed packing list is essential to making sure will have everything you will need during your stay. Here is a basic checklist that includes many of the important things you will need to bring with you to Knoxville. Print or copy the list, and then add any additional items you want to include (e.g., eyewear, medications and wallet).
 
• Clothes and personal items
• Toiletries
• Pin collection notebook and backpack**
• Pen and paper
• Camera
• Umbrella and/or poncho
• Comfortable shoes or sneakers
• Jacket
• Sunblock, sunglasses and hat/baseball cap
• Flip flops or sandals for the shower
• Bathing suit and beach towel

The Buddy Team program is a highlight for many teams at Global Finals and the 2014 pairings are complete! Please refer to the lists below, which are organized by domestic and international Affiliates, to find your Buddy Team pairing. You should receive a detailed email by the end of the day Friday with all of your Buddy Team's contact information. If your team number is not listed, your team is unfortunately not able to participate this year.

Kate Baldwin - Acting/Improvisational Theatre:
Kate Baldwin starred in the recently completed run of Big Fish on Broadway playing leading lady Sandra Bloom.  Before that, she starred in Fiorello! at City Center Encores and Giant as Leslie Lyntonn Benedict at The Public Theater, for which she received a Drama Desk nomination. Her starring role in the recent revival of Yip Harburg's and Burton Lane's hit classic musical Finian's Rainbow, earned her 2010 Tony nominations, Drama Desk and Outer Critic's Circle Award nominations.
 
Kate has appeared in the Broadway casts of The Full Monty, Thoroughly Modern Millie and Wonderful Town. She starred in Irving Berlin's White Christmas (San Francisco, Detroit, Toronto), The Women at The Old Globe, Henry V at the Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey, I Do, I Do at Westport Country Playhouse, She Loves Me at the Willliamstown Theatre Festival, The Music Man and South Pacific at Arena Stage, earning a Helen Hayes Award nomination.
 
Kate has performed in concert with the New York Pops, with the American Songbook series at Lincoln Center, the Kennedy Center and at the legendary New York nightclubs Feinstein's at the Regency, 54 Below and Birdland.  Her concert work also includes several appearances with Stephen Sondheim as a featured performer in his critically acclaimed evening, "A Conversation with Stephen Sondheim." She has sung as part of the Chicago Humanities Festival, with the National Symphony Orchestra in Washington, DC, the Detroit Symphony Orchestra, the Portland Symphony Orchestra and the River Concert Series.  Kate will serve as a judge for the 2014 NATS Musical Theater Finals this July.

This year, we had nearly 50 video submissions for our Student Reporter Casting Call. Because we received so many great submissions, the DI staff had a difficult time narrowing down the finalists and decided to increase the number of winners.
