Global Finals 2014

Global Finals is the world’s largest celebration of creativity. Each May, more than 8,000 of the world’s most innovative minds compete in teams to showcase their Challenge solutions, celebrate creativity and have fun.

Our Purpose: Inspire and equip students to become the next generation of innovators and leaders

Destination Imagination (DI) is a cause-driven, volunteer-led non-profit organization dedicated to teaching students the creative process through STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics), the arts and service learning Challenges. For more than 30 years, DI has helped more than 1.5 million kids tap into their creativity and learn the skills they need to build successful careers.

Our Goal: Encourage teams of learners to have fun, take risks, and experience the creative process

The Challenge program gives teams the opportunity to solve open-ended Challenges and present their solutions at local tournaments, which can qualify them to compete at Global Finals in Knoxville, Tennessee.
While solving one of the seven Challenges, team members learn patience, flexibility, persistence, ethics, respect for others and their ideas and the collaborative problem solving process.
